On Friday, September 27, 2024, YLS Retreat Meeting took place in Bay City, Michigan.
The Retreat occurred from Friday, September 27, 2024 through Sunday, September 28, 2024.

Important YLS business and some exciting social events was the focus. In a past
article, I explained how networking outside of events is a crucial way to assist in a
lawyer’s development in YLS as well as other organizations. However, I did not mention
how showing up early can be beneficial as well. The top two reasons are as follows:

• It’s Polite. Showing up early can show that you are polite and respectful of time and effort that is put into an event.
• It can decrease stress. Arriving early can help you get comfortable sooner while
  bonding with other early birds, which can free your mind and decrease stress.
  For those following reasons, I believe it is important to show up early for events,
  whether they are social or otherwise.
